Swadesh Ranjan Maharana

The Iconic Artist

As an artist, I work hard to develop sand sculpture & animations that speak both to me and others about the beauty that exist in the ruins of ancient societies. Part of my process before I begin sculpting is to read as much as I can about the specific set of ruins I am about to recreate on sand particles .I do not merely want to capture the image with my creation; rather, with sand sculpture & animation, I want to give that society life once more as live.

As fallowing the religion of Biswakarma I gave my effort on creativity and tried to learn more and more to develop my skill and always trying to give the more realistic accuracy to the sculpture I made ever. I manly focusing the design with Indian culture based which giving awesome beauty attractive looks. Pursuance to my father, I started my fast sand sculpture at Gopalpur sea beach fest with a statue of lord Ganesh. That is my fast impression of people to me. I was most happy for the response of my creation. Inspiring this I show up my skills in free time from educational life. Due to online surfing I got some new ideas to place the sand to create animation. “In performance this art manipulation a series of image by using sand particles. A process which is achieved by drawing lines and figures in the sand with hand. By using aid of overhead projector and magic light box that sand moves on glass for performing each frame”.
